Hello and welcome! We are Valerie and Robert and we are ready to start a family through adoption! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as prospective parents. We understand that this decision is not easy. Let us hold your hand as we walk you through who we are.

Rob is Mr. Fix-it, always working on a project either at home or for family and friends. As a child, Rob enjoyed yard work, and he and his younger brother had a small lawn care enterprise. He has taken his skills for home repair into adulthood, working for his family's concrete business and earning his way to a leadership position.

Valerie started her career as a hairstylist, and it was her passion for many years. In 2023, she decided to get a job in the school district as a para, advocating for students who often cannot advocate for themselves. She works with non-verbal students, helping them navigate their education in a fun and safe environment. She continues to keep up her hairstyling skills in her spare time.

Our home is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house that we bought in 2016 and renovated together. Rob rebuilt the back patio with stamped concrete in 2025. We both love to garden, mostly growing tomatoes, but also some other vegetables and herbs.

We live across from a park and walking trail. There is a great mix of young families and retired adults in our neighborhood, and children can often be seen riding their bikes and scooters. We have great relationships with our neighbors. Our neighborhood is within a really good school district, where Valerie works.

We are very close with all of our family, most of whom live locally! Val's sisters are both married—her oldest sister has two elementary-aged children through adoption, and her younger sister has two biological children who are in their toddler years. Her brother, the youngest sibling, is engaged to be married in November 2026. Val's parents live minutes away. Her dad is recently retired, and her mom works from home for a healthcare agency.

We love taking long weekend road trips, particularly to places that welcome pets, with the Ozarks being a treasured and frequent getaway. We look forward to sharing this joy with a child.

Rob loves to cook, fish, and watch sports. He's an avid Chiefs fan and enjoys watching the games on the weekends. Val loves fishing with Rob, gardening, and spending time with her nieces and nephew. Her favorite time of year is summer break, which brings her favorite pastime—going to the pool!

Through our many years together and life experiences, we have learned that children need to know their importance, both in family and community. They need consistency, stability, love, and patience, and we will always do our best to provide everything we have to a future child.
